The only program in Pennsylvania to specifically offer low and no-cost representation to low-income LGBTQ individuals, the Mazzoni Center's legal services department also provides education and training for members of the public on anti-discrimination laws. LGBTQ employees are more likely to experience discrimination or harassment based on sexual orientation or gender identity.
Workplace harassment is a type of discrimination that involves unwanted, offensive conduct that contributes to a professional environment that feels intimidating or hostile. Conduct is only deemed harassment when there is a pattern of incidents over time. Incidents might include repeated homophobic jokes or a lewd object or picture in the office.
